  4. Ditch Day Drifter is a game that demonstrates TADS, the Text Adventure
  5. Development System, a programming tool for writing text adventure games.

  13. Notes for Macintosh users
  14. -------------------------

  16. To start the game, just double click on "Ditch Day Drifter".
  17.  
  18. You can edit command lines using the normal Macintosh text editing methods.  You
  19. can copy from any text on the screen, and paste into the command line.  The
  20. "review mode" that the documentation refers to is not actually a "mode" on the
  21. Macintosh; instead, you can look back through text that has scrolled out of the
  22. window by using the scroll region as usual.

  24. At the top of the window is the Status Line, which shows your location and the
  25. current score and turn count.
  26.  
  27. Each saved game is stored in a separate file, so there is no limit to the
  28. number of games you an save (except for how much space you have on your disks).
  29. When you save or restore a game, a standard file selector dialogue will be
  30. displayed that will allow you to select a filename.
